HOW WILL EMBEDDED COMPUTING PROGRAMS RELATED TO THE MILITARY AND GOVERNMENT BE AFFECTED BY THE NEW WHITE HOUSE ADMINISTRATION AND THE CHANGING PRIORITIES OF THE COUNTRY?
presented by James Doyle, Congressional Affairs Liaison - Director Strategic Business Military, Aviation & Government Embedded Computing for Emerson Network Power
At the highest levels of the military and government, there is continuing support for the adoption of COTS-based open standard architecture platforms - such as AdvancedTCA, MicroTCA and Open VPX - for applications in Net-Centric Warfare and Operations. Program managers at the Navy, Air Force and Marines all have their eyes on computer infrastructure suppliers that can deliver scalable systems while collaborating with a variety of ecosystem partners in the marketplace. This dynamic keynote will explain how the changes in DoD spending could spawn increased demand for open standards and COTS-based systems.
