The Real-Time & Embedded Computing Conference is honored to announce its special guest speaker at the Portland RTECC event ...
Darren Hart, Real-Time Linux Team, IBM Linux Technology Center
LINUX, REAL-TIME, and FRAGMENTATION
The Linux landscape sees periods of high fragmentation when new kernel branches and hardware platforms form to speed development. Fortunately, these are followed by periods of high levels of cooperation and coordination between the various development communities. The Real-Time branch of the Linux kernel has seen several such cycles, and there is currently a strong push to get the remaining core features into the mainline kernel. Fragmentation is also very prominent in the embedded Linux world. Hear how the newly formed Linaro collaboration forum seeks to bring some unity to the embedded space.
About the speaker:
Darren Hart leads the development team working on Real-Time Linux. He is responsible for balancing the technical workload across the team to ensure meeting scheduled deliverables.
